Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of digital client projects and support the growth of our Digital Asset Advisory team.

As Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for managing project delivery, supporting business growth, and developing our Digital Advisory capability.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. You will generate high-margin consulting sales by identifying and delivering propositions that include sector core services.
  2. You will lead exceptional client outcomes across multiple complex capability areas and commissions.
  3. You will highlight Arcadis thought leadership to the business and clients.
  4. You will champion diversity and inclusion, well-being, and embed these values within Business Advisory.
  5. You will make a positive difference in the world and improve quality of life.
  6. You will proactively support community/non-project initiatives that positively impact Business Advisory's ability to retain and attract top talent.
  7. You will maintain financial accountability through timely completion of time sheets and sales pipeline updates.
  8. You will achieve sales targets by directly delivering approximately £120,000 fees generated from identification and conversion of sell-on/new opportunities, bid support, etc.
  9. You will lead and deliver workstreams and/or small-medium size projects (up to 4-6 people) achieving and setting project objectives and stretch objectives for individuals as defined for each project via project appraisals.
  10. You will promote Arcadis values and behaviours while upholding a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  11. You will manage up to 3-4 people and maintain a utilisation target of 90%.

Qualifications and Experience:

Consulting

  1. You have experience managing diverse stakeholder groups and fostering effective relationships, including executives, clients, team members, and external partners.
  2. You have knowledge and understanding of change management approaches, methodologies, and tools to aid in assessing and delivering change and transformation.
  3. You can convey information clearly, concisely, and persuasively in verbal interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  4. You can craft clear, coherent, and compelling written communications, including reports, emails, presentations, and documentation, to convey complex information, ideas, and recommendations.
  5. You have proven ability successfully managing projects or workstreams with a team of up to 4-6 people ensuring excellent quality deliverables and outcomes.
  6. You have experience quickly identifying client challenges and providing strategic direction and advise to implement improvements and change to deliver outcomes and benefits.

Commercial and Sales

  1. You have experience identifying, developing, and converting a pipeline of sales opportunities for business growth.
  2. You have proven ability leading the delivery of projects or large workstreams to achieve commercial success through effective management, planning, and achieving financial targets.
  3. You have experience supporting business development and sales growth through growing/expanding existing commissions, writing and presenting proposals, and supporting bids.

People

  1. You have experience fostering a collaborative environment for your team and colleagues through building genuine relationships, prioritising wellbeing, and creating a culture of respect.
  2. You have experience supporting others in their personal growth, career development, and managing performance through mentoring, coaching, and/or line management.

Technical (Digital FM Advisory)

  1. You have experience working in one or more industry sectors relevant to Arcadis, such as buildings, central government, local government, defence, etc.
  2. You have knowledge and a working understanding of data standards for Facilities Management, such as ISO , FMS, etc.
  3. You have knowledge and understanding of asset management and/or facilities management principles and practices (e.g. ISO , ISO , BESA, or SFG20, etc).
  4. You have proven ability capturing an organisation's As-Is system architecture and developing a To-Be system architectures, using proven approaches, methodologies, and tools.
  5. You have proven ability defining and establishing governance, standards, and strategies to improve an organisation's information management practices.
  6. You have experience delivering or working in technology implementations and/or digital transformation programmes from conception through to deployment.
  7. You have proven ability utilising business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering and process mapping, to identify business needs and translate them into technology or data requirements.
  8. Bachelors degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline is desirable.
  9. Qualification/certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP or BSC) is a plus (desirable).
