A&P Group: Document Controller Job Description

We're seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller to join our quality team at A&P Group. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in managing and organizing critical engineering documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Quality Manager in ensuring project manufacturing records are compiled and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain document accuracy and facilitate progressive document review.
  • Compile and approve MRBs (manufacturing record books) throughout project lifecycles.
  • Control and maintain document registers, including the project welding database.
  • Compile and forward evidence packs to clients prior to inspections.
  • Review documentation status against project status and notifications of inspections.
  • Check internal inspection requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collate reports generated during the manufacturing process to deadlines and ensure they are legible and retained within MRBs.
  • Complete and submit weekly status trackers.
Requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of engineering documentation and quality management systems.
  • A passion for maintaining quality standards and exposure to root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with quality documentation packages and understanding of welding and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods.
  • Experience in maintaining weld registers and quality documentation.
