Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Formulation Chemist to join our team at TekWissen LLC. As a key member of our Research and Development department, you will be responsible for formulating new chemistries, conducting wet chemistry, basic analysis, and material property measurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine chemical operations as directed by protocols and work instructions with limited supervision.
• Conduct routine materials testing, including density, viscosity, pH, and other thermal and rheological testing.
• Identify process improvement ideas and communicate opportunities for improvement.
• Promptly and accurately record, calculate, and report results.
• Prepare solutions, clean glassware, dispose of solid/liquid waste, and perform other duties to support laboratory operations.
• Communicate troubleshooting opportunities in processes and identify operational issues with laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Observe good safety and housekeeping practices and participate in lab/site safety programs and cross-site initiatives.
• Knowledgeable of RCRA hazardous waste regulations, waste determinations, waste codes, and how to immediately communicate discovery of spills and leaks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three or more years of laboratory experience, preferably with wet chemistry techniques.
• Experience with pH, density, viscosity, and other thermal and rheological testing equipment.
• Experience with moderate scale-up (gram to kilogram quantities).
