GSL Education is seeking a School Receptionist to provide a welcoming and organised presence in a school environment. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm and professional welcome to visitors, parents, and students.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the school office.
- Assist with filing, photocopying, data entry, and handling incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain accurate student attendance records and assist with enrolment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students while supporting the dissemination of information via newsletters and other channels.
- Manage the school calendar, scheduling appointments and meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster a positive, inclusive environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for building effective relationships.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with school management systems is a plus.
- Efficient in managing workloads independently and skilled in problem-solving to calmly address and resolve issues.
- Maintains personal and professional privacy.
- A team player who collaborates effectively in a friendly manner.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
