Job Title: KS2 Teacher

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced KS2 teacher to join our team at Term Time Teachers. As a KS2 teacher, you will play a crucial role in the education and development of children aged 7 to 11 years (Years 3 to 6) in primary schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning:
    • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the national curriculum requirements and cater to the diverse needs of students.
    • Assess and record students' progress through tests, assignments, and observation, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and development.
    • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain discipline and respect among students.
  • Support and Guidance:
    • Provide individual support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or those who are struggling academically or socially.
    • Offer emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their well-being and social development.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, achievements, and any concerns.
    • Work collaboratively with other teachers, teaching assistants, and school staff to plan and deliver effective educational programs.
  • Professional Development:
    • Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated with the latest teaching methods, curriculum changes, and educational research.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, progress, and any incidents that occur.
    • Prepare written reports on students' performance and development for parents, school management, and external bodies when required.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities:
    • Plan and supervise extra-curricular activities, such as school trips, sports events, and clubs, to enhance students' learning experiences outside the classroom.
  • Compliance and Safeguarding:
    • Ensure compliance with school policies, national standards, and safeguarding procedures to protect the welfare of children.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a passion for teaching and a commitment to the educational and personal development of your students.
