Job Title: Senior Estimator

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Kier Group, specializing in the Mechanical and Electrical (MEICA) sector. As a key member of our framework delivery team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering value for money solutions for our clients in the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the pre-construction phase of projects, including early contractor involvement and pre-work prior to tenders arriving.
  • Prepare multi-discipline tender pricing, with the ability to produce differing levels of pricing, from top-down budgets to bottom-up lump sums or targets.
  • Read and understand client specifications and drawings, considering site safety, health, quality, and environmental issues.
  • Attend internal and external review and progress meetings, as well as site visits and meetings.
  • Ascertain preliminary and detailed project requirements and solutions, including programmes and value engineering solutions, with identification of risk and opportunities.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering tenders and pricing in the water industry, with the ability to manage a portfolio of projects in a framework environment.
  • Experience of the pre-construction phase of projects, with the ability to quickly identify risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a good understanding of client requirements and general commercial awareness.
  • Experience of working on construction projects, preferably in the water industry, with good knowledge and experience of the processes and mechanical and electrical assets used within the water industry.
