Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Paint Sprayer to join our team at Industrious Recruitment. As a Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for applying paint and other finishes to vehicles, vehicle components, machinery, equipment, and various surfaces using spray guns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and mask surfaces prior to painting, ensuring they are properly primed and free of defects.
  • Painting and Finishing: Mix paints to achieve desired colors and consistencies, apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using spray guns or other applicators, and achieve uniform coverage and thickness according to specifications.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect finished surfaces for quality and make necessary touch-ups or corrections, ensuring all painted surfaces meet company standards and customer specifications.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Set up, calibrate, and maintain spray equipment and tools, cleaning spray guns, hoses, and other equipment after use to ensure longevity and performance.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in Transport body repair or paint preparation is essential.
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in the use of water-based paint is essential.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in using spray guns and other painting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to mix and match colors accurately.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and handling of hazardous materials.
Additional Requirements:
  • There may be a requirement to work alternating shifts – earlies and lates.
  • Must be able to pass a medical.
