Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Approved Mental Health Professional to join their team in Bath. The successful candidate will work full-time as part of the Adult Service, undertaking Mental Health Act assessments and collaborating with various agencies to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake Mental Health Act assessments and work closely with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust, Virgin Care, and other agencies.
  • Participate in staff development programs and promote specialist skills within the department.
  • Ensure strict compliance with the Mental Health Act and its Code of Practice.
  • Coordinate assessments under the Mental Health Act, including multi-agency liaison with doctors, police, ambulance, and other services.
  • Assess risk of potential harm to services users and their families.
  • Consult with Nearest Relatives as part of the Mental Health Act assessment and advise them of their rights and the patient's rights.
  • Refer carers for needs assessment if identified during the Mental Health Act assessment.
  • Maintain an up-to-date portfolio of Mental Health Act assessments and other statutory work.
  • Take responsibility for personal development needs in relation to AMHP practice.

Requirements:

  • A social work qualification or equivalent.
  • Continual professional development.
  • Social Work England registration.
