West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to fill the role of Senior Pharmacist in our busy hospital dispensary. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on new challenges and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all medicines used in the trust reflect national and local policies and recommendations, working closely with the dispensary manager to implement and update procedures as necessary. Additionally, they will participate in audits and data collection, carry out late duty and weekend rotas, and undertake any other duties required by the Pharmacy Operations Manager.

This role requires strong computer skills, a good understanding of national and local pharmacy issues, and a solid grounding in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice. The ideal candidate will also have experience in providing clinical pharmacy services, project management, and training junior staff.

We are offering a competitive salary of £63,000 - £83,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as pension scheme, annual leave, and professional development opportunities.
