Seeking a Skilled Chemist for a Rewarding Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemist to join our team at MTB (Midlands) Ltd in the West Midlands Facility. As a Chemist, you will play a vital role in the efficient operation of the treatment plant and Ultra Filtration system.

Your responsibilities will include sampling incoming/outgoing waste to comply with our EPR Permit, assisting with tank cleaning and analysis of pre-acceptance samples/wastes, and maintaining the site's high standard of housekeeping. You will also assist with paperwork and records to adhere to site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the efficient operation of the treatment plant and Ultra Filtration system
• Sample incoming/outgoing waste to comply with our EPR Permit
• Assist with tank cleaning and analysis of pre-acceptance samples/wastes
• Maintain the site's high standard of housekeeping
• Assist with paperwork and records to adhere to site procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry
• Previous experience in hazardous waste/oil processing is advantageous
• Experience in water treatment and analytical wet chemistry techniques
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Job Details

• Full-time position
• 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
• Overtime and weekend availability
• Free parking

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
