Job Description: Secondary Science Teaching Assistant - Graduate Role
Estimated Salary: £22,500 - £28,000 per annum

We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to fill the role of Secondary Science Teaching Assistant at our mainstream secondary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective support to students in science subjects, enhancing their educational development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with classroom teachers to identify the specific needs of Year 10 and Year 11 students in science.
• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and resources for science lessons.
• Offer guidance and encouragement to students, fostering a positive learning environment conducive to academic success.
• Collaborate with other teaching assistants and staff members to create comprehensive support plans for individual students.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school policies.

Requirements:
• A passion for education and a genuine desire to support the academic growth of young learners.
• Strong proficiency in science, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Previous experience working with secondary school students, particularly in a support or teaching assistant role, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the UK national curriculum and assessment frameworks for science.
