We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Dietetic Support Worker to join our team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. As a Dietetic Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting patients living in the community who require nutritional support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Community Clinical Dietitians, including managing patient referrals, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating patient care.
- Support patients with nutritional care plans, including monitoring weight, recording food and fluid intake, and providing education on healthy eating.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including dietitians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and care.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to nutrition and dietetics.
- Level 3 education or equivalent (NVQ3, A level, diploma etc)
- Good standard of education to include GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Experience of dealing with the general public, training, teaching, and supporting others
- Proven administrative experience, ability to work autonomously, and proficient in the use of Internet/Intranet and email
- Excellent communication skills, highly organized, and good team working skills
