Technical Manager

Reed Technology is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join our team in Burton-Upon-Trent. As a key member of our Product Integrity function, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all technical aspects of warehouse operations to maintain product integrity and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team responsible for monitoring the quality and integrity of our products.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures that align with the Global Standard for Warehouse & Distribution.
  • Manage and maintain the HACCP, QMS, Internal Audit, and Technical training systems at the Distribution Centre.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with primary and local authorities and accreditation bodies.
  • Undertake annual reviews of systems, processes, procedures, and HACCP.
  • Manage and track continuous improvement plans in conjunction with the Planning Manager.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for technical staff and support the Training Manager in training operations staff in food safety and product integrity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Experience and knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements related to chilled and ambient products and warehouse operations.
  • Demonstrable leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
