SEN Teaching Assistant Job Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our complex needs team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will support pupils aged 11-18 years old with severe learning difficulties and complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and communication difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex needs in a specialist school setting.
  • Develop and implement personalized approaches to the curriculum to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to deliver high-quality educational experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to assessment and reporting processes.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with young people or adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Strong understanding of the SEN curriculum and effective strategies for supporting pupils with diverse needs.
  • Proven ability to provide outstanding support and feedback to pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
