About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Electrical Specialist to join our client's team in Coatbridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for fault diagnosis and rectification, with a focus on first-time fixes.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of automotive electrical systems, circuit diagrams, charging & multiplex systems, laptop diagnostics, and use of multi-meters and other test equipment.

In this role, you will work in a fast-paced workshop environment, ensuring high-quality work and adhering to DVSA standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fault diagnosis and rectification with a first-time fix policy
  • Knowledge and experience of automotive electrical systems
  • Experience working on locomotive and commercial vehicles
  • Knowledge and experience of automotive circuit diagrams
  • Knowledge and experience of automotive charging & multiplex systems
  • Knowledge and experience of laptop diagnostics & test equipment

Requirements:
  • Recognised apprenticeship as an Auto Electrician
  • Experience working in the bus, train, or commercial vehicle sector
  • NVQ level 3 standard (City and Guilds Level 2) or equivalent
