Shipping Finance Solicitor Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Shipping Finance Solicitor to join our London-based Marine Assets and Projects team.

This permanent position is ideal for a legal professional with 3-10 years of post-qualification experience who is eager to work on complex and high-value marine transactions.

About the Role

The Marine Assets and Projects team is focused on transactional, non-contentious marine and projects work, acting primarily for owners, operators, and stakeholders such as major energy companies across a broad range of commercial shipping and marine projects.

They advise on the entire lifecycle of a ship, from shipbuilding contracts to financing, ship recycling, time charters, and offshore projects.

The team acts for some of the world's largest companies and is involved in transactions relating to all types of vessels, including bulk carriers, container ships, tankers, reefers, cruise ships, yachts, offshore rigs, FSRUs, FPSOs, and other floating energy projects as well as supply and support vessels.

They advise on all related contracts, including industry standard forms and drafting bespoke contracts, and are familiar with and negotiate various forms of vessel financing, including traditional loans and sale and leaseback financing arrangements.

The successful candidate will be a core member of the London Marine Assets and Projects Team, working closely with various other practice areas, including the corporate teams, marine litigation, and our international offices.
