Mobile Service Engineer for Forklift Trucks and Material Handling Equipment

Questech Recruitment Ltd is proud to represent a reputable and thriving organization currently in search of a Mobile Service Engineer to enhance their team. This position entails traveling to client locations across the UK to perform repairs and maintenance on a diverse range of Forklift Trucks and Material Handling Equipment.

The successful candidate will ideally possess a Level 4 Technician qualification or have completed an apprenticeship in the Forklift, HGV, or Automotive sectors. Nevertheless, experienced Technicians and Engineers are also encouraged to apply for this role.

If you have a background as a Field Service Engineer, Forklift Truck Technician, or in a comparable position that involves the repair and servicing of Forklift Trucks and Material Handling Equipment, this role could be an excellent fit for you. This opportunity is also open to HGV Technicians, Engineers, Mechanics, or Mechanical Fitters.

Key Details:
  • Salary: Up to £35,000 (based on experience) + Overtime + Company Vehicle + Bonus
  • Standard Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Overtime available at time and a half
  • 24-hour call-out rota with optional financial incentives
  • Transport provided: Fully equipped service vehicle for work purposes
Responsibilities:
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on customer-owned and fleet trucks on-site
  • Efficiently diagnose and resolve reported breakdowns
  • Accurately document all findings and repair recommendations
  • Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle with necessary tools
  • Promptly order replacement parts as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and quality standards
Requirements:
  • Experience in repairing Forklift Trucks, Plant Vehicles, or similar equipment
  • Preferred: Level 4 Technician qualification in a related field

On-site training will be provided to successful candidates if necessary.
