About Us:
Valerian Court Care Home is a newly-built care home in Didcot, Oxfordshire, offering exceptional standards of nursing, residential, dementia, and respite care for 70 residents. Our team is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for our residents.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and caring Special Needs Transporter to join our team. As a key member of our transport team, you will be responsible for safely transporting residents to various activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being during journeys.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and courteous transportation services for residents, adhering to health and safety instructions and conducting risk assessments for the safe operation of community vehicles.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and daily log records, perform monthly and pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order.
- Foster positive relationships with residents through your friendly and vibrant personality, making their travel experience enjoyable and rewarding.
Requirements:
- Hold a full, clean UK driving licence with no prior bans or excessive penalties.
- Have at least 2 years of driving experience.
- Be willing to undertake full training provided by us.
