About Us


At Yorkshire Water, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Hire Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating plant hire activities for a 5-month fixed-term contract with potential extension or permanency.


The Role


As Plant Hire Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the coordination of plant hire activities, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and delivered on time. Your primary goal will be to provide excellent support to our teams and ensure that our projects are completed efficiently and effectively.


Responsibilities



  • Coordinate plant hire activities, including managing equipment inventory and scheduling deliveries.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

What We Offer


We offer a competitive salary based on experience, ranging from £25,000 to £35,000 per annum, plus benefits such as comprehensive training and development opportunities, a pension scheme, and flexible working arrangements.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in project coordination, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with plant hire industry standards and regulations.
