At Marriott International, we are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Manager to lead our hotel's financial operations. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing analytical support to the management team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have an accounting qualification and proven experience in a similar role within a hotel environment. They will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, reconciliations, and internal/external reporting. Additionally, they will manage the asset and liability reconciliation, working capital, and cash control.

About the Role
  • Provides ongoing analytical support to monitor operating department's actual and projected sales and profit.
  • Maintains a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations, and manage business risks.
  • Produces accurate forecasts to enable operations to react to changes in the business.
  • Reconciles balance sheet and ensures account balances are current and supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with SOPs.
  • Facilitates P&L critique meetings to review results with the management team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An accounting qualification and proven experience in a similar role within a hotel environment.
  • Experience in coaching and developing team members, driving sales, and delivering financial results.
  • A warm people-orientated demeanor, a gift for paying attention to details, and a positive outlook and outgoing personality.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including free meals, uniform, and dry-cleaning service. You will also receive a discount card enabling benefits from hotel room discounts, gift shops, and F&B across 130 countries.
