We are seeking a skilled and empathetic individual to fill the position of Northern Ireland Community Hearing Aid Volunteer. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting NHS hearing aid users and contributing to the overall well-being of the community.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance to individuals using hearing aids, addressing any concerns or issues they may have. This includes tasks such as maintaining and repairing hearing aids, as well as signposting services that can benefit service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality support and advice to NHS hearing aid users at our Hearing Aid Support sessions.
  • Maintain and repair hearing aids, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Signpost services that can benefit service users, promoting overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with RNID staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of services provided.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with hearing aids or similar devices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
