Job Title: General Cover Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile General Cover Teacher to join our team at a Secondary School in Devon. As a General Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons across various subjects and year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons that cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Maintain a well-organised and professional classroom environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless lesson delivery and student support.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement targeted interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary education.
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience as a General Cover Teacher or teaching professional.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Desirable: experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
