Human Factors Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Human Factors Engineer to contribute to the development of safe and usable medical devices. As part of our Human Factors and Usability team, you will collaborate with internal project teams and global medical clients to ensure user needs are considered throughout the design process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Human Factors techniques and usability principles, as well as experience in evaluating and improving designs based on sound usability understanding. Additionally, they will be skilled in moderating user research, data capture and analysis, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply Human Factors principles and best practices to identify user needs and support use-related risk mitigation.
  • Conduct desk and field research, planning and conducting Human Factors studies, and compiling results into clear and concise reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure user needs are considered throughout the design process.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Human Factors guidance documents and standards for medical device development.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a field such as Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Human Factors techniques and usability principles.
  • Experience in evaluating and improving designs based on sound usability understanding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and dependably as part of a team or independently.
