Rotating Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Rotating Nurse to join our team at Pride Veterinary Referrals. As a Rotating Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art referral hospital and be part of a supportive and experienced team.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a wide range of tasks, including monitoring sedations/anaesthetics, providing exceptional inpatient care, and assisting with imaging procedures. You will also contribute to transfusion medicine, support diagnostic procedures, and manage admits/discharges.

Pride Veterinary Referrals is equipped with industry-leading facilities and advanced diagnostic tools, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care. With 13 consultation rooms, 7 hospital wards, 5 theatres, and a comprehensive imaging suite, our facilities provide an exceptional care environment.

To succeed in this role, you must be a qualified RVN with at least 1 year of post-graduation experience. While referral experience is desirable, we provide comprehensive training to support your success. Any additional qualifications, such as certificates, are advantageous, and you should be able to demonstrate clinical competence in standard nursing protocols.

Our Rotating Nurse will work on average 38hrs/week, over a 4-day working week. You will usually cover a mix of 08:00-17:30, 08:30-18:00, and 08:30-19:00 shifts during the week, plus a 1:6 weekend rota in our wards department. Approximately 1 Friday in every 8 weeks, you will cover the Twilight shift, which is a 3pm-12am + on-call for the rest of the evening, supplemented as overtime if called out.
