Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at The Disabilities Trust in Eastbourne. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service is delivered during meal times. This includes preparing home-cooked meals for our residents with blended diets, adhering to statutory requirements and good practices, and maintaining a standard of cleanliness and hygiene that meets legislation.

Salary: Up to £14.52 per hour

Job Description:
- Ensure a high level of service for all meal times
- Report any defects to equipment to the Service Manager
- Supervise the catering functions within the Service
- Prepare home cooked meals for our residents
- Adhere to all statutory requirements and good practices as laid by all authorities involved
- Maintain a standard of cleanliness and hygiene that meets legislation related to the registration of the Service

Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Basic food safety knowledge
