Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Home Link Support Worker at East Ayrshire Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support to children and young people to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain supportive relationships with children, young people, and their families to promote positive outcomes and improve educational attainment.
  • Work closely with schools and other stakeholders to identify and address barriers to learning, and develop strategies to support children and young people in overcoming these challenges.
  • Provide guidance and support to children and young people to help them build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and young people, and to promote the delivery of the Council's key objectives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, young people, and their families.Experience of working with children and young people, preferably in an educational or social care setting.Knowledge of the issues that affect children and young people's ability to attend and achieve at school, and the ability to develop strategies to support them.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of children and young people.
