Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing contracting team in the North East. The successful candidate will play a vital commercial role in delivering high-profile construction projects and will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in a collaborative business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts with clients and subcontractors
- Record, monitor, and review the financial performance of contracts
- Manage financial accounts and secure payments from clients within specified contract terms
- Subcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accounts
- Pre-contract pricing and agreement of project costs
- Mentor other staff and contribute to the development of the team
Requirements
- Currently working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Demonstrable interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Confident numeracy and analytical ability
- Drive and ambition to succeed
- Confidence to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong organisational ability and ability to build successful relationships
- Confident IT skills, specifically Excel, databases, and bespoke software packages
