Support Worker/Personal Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a kind, caring, and experienced individual to support a young adult with a learning disability in their home and community.

The successful candidate will provide guidance, support, reassurance, and supervision as needed to ensure the individual's safety and well-being.

The role involves accompanying the individual on trips to the countryside, local café, and seaside, as well as engaging in other activities tailored to their needs and interests.

The ideal candidate will be physically fit, patient, and able to work on a 2:1 basis with occasional 1:1 support.

They must also be able to recognize and respond to the individual's needs, including managing sensory triggers and providing a comfort and safety element.

Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting individuals with a learning disability
  • Physical fitness and ability to work on a 2:1 basis
  • Patience, resilience, and positive attitude
  • Ability to recognize and respond to individual's needs
  • Up-to-date DBS and permission to work in the U.K.
