Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage mechanical design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.
  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Mentor and guide a small team of mechanical design engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses to validate design concepts, driving innovation and improvement.
  • Create comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using advanced CAD software, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Oversee the prototyping, testing, and iteration processes, ensuring designs meet stringent performance and safety standards.
  • Facilitate design reviews and provide strategic input on design enhancements and new technologies, staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in avionics and mechanical design, integrating best practices into the team's workflow and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical design, particularly within the avionics industry.
  • Proven track record of leading design projects from initial concept through to final delivery.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software, with a focus on SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
  • Excellent understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes relevant to avionics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on quality and precision.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
