About the Role
We are seeking a temporary full-time Supervising Social Worker to join our thriving Fostering Service in Swansea. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our foster carers, ensuring the well-being and safety of children in our care.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, assess, and supervise foster carers to provide a stable and nurturing environment for children.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
- Develop and maintain relationships with foster carers, providing regular support and guidance to ensure their needs are met.
- Contribute to the development of our Fostering Service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the service we provide.
Requirements
- Social Work Qualification and up-to-date knowledge of working with children and families in a multi-agency setting.
- Experience of working in a fostering service or similar environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with foster carers, children, and other professionals.
