Regulatory Human Factors Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Human Factors Specialist to join our team at the Health and Safety Executive. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Human Factors and experience working in regulatory environments.
As a Regulatory Human Factors Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and investigations to identify risk and underlying issues on site. You will also assess the adequacy of safety reports for upper tier COMAH sites and play an integral part of investigation teams working across industry to seek out accident and incident root causes and identify recommendations.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Ergonomics or Human Factors, or a relevant postgraduate qualification, and be registered with the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors or the British Psychological Society. They will also have excellent communication and influencing skills, as well as the ability to make effective decisions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
