The Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join our team and contribute to the maintenance, inspection, and repair of our growing HGV fleet.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting vehicles to MOT standards
  • Diagnosing and rectifying various types of faults
  • Ensuring vehicles are handled carefully and safety precautions are taken while on the premises
  • Completing necessary paperwork
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience or qualification in motor mechanics, such as City & Guilds Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or a BTEC National Certificate in Vehicle Repair and Technology
  • Excellent knowledge of motor technology and a strong background in HGV vehicle servicing
  • Good communication skills, ability to concentrate under pressure
  • Good manual dexterity, methodical, and organized, with the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Own transport and full UK driving license
