Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conveyancing Executive to join our team at Birchall Blackburn Law. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for managing a diverse volume caseload and ensuring the ongoing high performance and delivery of a quality, client-focused operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Management
    • Lead and develop a team of assistant conveyancers to ensure the successful running of your caseload.
    • Identify opportunities for development and growth within the team, and work with your Team Leader to implement strategies for improvement.
    • Collaborate with your Team Leader to identify opportunities to move team members to different roles, increasing the flexibility of the department and its ability to respond to changing pressures.
  • Client Management
    • Maintain and build strong professional relationships with clients and external organizations.
    • Develop and improve client service standards, promoting a culture of total client care throughout the department.
    • Monitor the delivery of client service with your team support, through regular feedback reviews.
  • Technical Responsibilities
    • Deal with a full range of property transactions, including freehold, leasehold, new builds, shared ownership, and limited company transactions.
    • Adhere to and promote compliance with the Conveyancing Quality Scheme, the firm's policies, practices, and procedures, as well as relevant legislation and quality standards.
    • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and practice through training and other means.
    • Delegate work to the team support.
  • Knowledge & Experience
    • Have a good knowledge of services within Birchall Blackburn Law.
    • possess strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with all levels within an organization and resolve potential conflicts.
    • Be able to work accurately and clearly explain technical matters to non-technical users in both written and verbal forms.
    • Have a client-focused approach to service delivery.
    • Have strong experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Have strong experience using case management systems.
    • Have at least 5 years of experience managing a diverse caseload from instructions to completion and registration.
    • Have a working knowledge of the CQS Protocol, UKFML, and BSA Handbooks.
