Amwins Group Benefits, LLC is a leading provider of insurance solutions, and we're seeking a highly skilled Director of Underwriting Leadership to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the underwriting function and providing expert guidance to our underwriting teams. Your primary focus will be on fully insured and self-funded Med D and commercial clients. You will work closely with our Sales Executive leadership to develop and execute ASO pricing and margin strategies. Additionally, you will present recommendations to Executive Leadership on new pricing methodologies and oversee the workflow for the underwriting function.

Responsibilities:

* Develop long-range strategic plans and objectives by identifying strategic issues and providing strategic direction to the underwriting teams.
* Work with Sales Executive leadership to develop, drive, and execute ASO pricing and margin strategies.
* Present recommendations to Executive Leadership on new pricing methodologies and follow through on the execution of key strategies.
* Oversee and coordinate workflow for the underwriting function.
* Collaborate with management on staffing plans, productivity metrics, and initiatives to improve efficiencies within the department.

Qualifications:

* In-depth knowledge of mathematical applications used in underwriting, including the ability to calculate figures such as discounts, proportions, and percentages.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex material into easy-to-understand presentations.
* Strong team player with a customer service approach.
* Ability to effectively communicate with the Senior Leadership Team and Executive Leadership Team.

Education and/or Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or related areas of study.
* 8 years of related experience and/or training.
* 5 years of experience as a PBM Underwriting Manager with commercial and Med D underwriting experience.
* 5 years of leadership experience.
