Special Education Support Professional

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children with additional needs in a Lancaster-based school.

The ideal candidate will be based in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and support individual children with learning activities, communication, social interaction, behaviour management, and emotional regulation.

You will also deliver interventions to children with additional needs, particularly autism, on a personalised basis for each child.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant and a good understanding of the curriculum and expectations for EYFS.

A compassionate and caring nature is essential, along with knowledge and experience of delivering intervention programmes and supporting children with SEN.

This part-time SEN Teaching Assistant role offers daily pay in the range of £90 to £110, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support individual children with learning activities, communication, social interaction, behaviour management, and emotional regulation.
  • Deliver interventions to children with additional needs, particularly autism, on a personalised basis for each child.
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualised plans for children with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and contribute to their assessments and reviews.
Requirements:
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree (e.g. Childhood Studies, SEN, Psychology).
  • Professional references covering the last two full years.
  • Experience working in a UK Primary School.
  • Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting children with additional needs, particularly autism.

Ongoing part-time role starting soon.

Daily pay: £90 - £110 depending on experience.
