Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Maths and English Skills Educator to join our team at Long Term Teachers Limited. As a SEN Tutor for Functional Skills, you will play a vital role in supporting students with disabilities to achieve their aspirations and participate in work-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of current and potential students to identify learning and training opportunities
  • Deliver sessions on maths, English, life, and employability skills to small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis
  • Work as part of the team to deliver ROC College programmes and ensure records and reports of student progress are updated

Requirements

  • Previous experience of tutoring/teaching SEN students, including working on functional skills
  • At least a Level 4 teaching qualification
  • Ability to form excellent working relationships and think creatively about how to support students
