Job Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining maintenance activities at UPS package handling facilities. The successful candidate will provide inspection, troubleshooting, adjusting, and replacing electrical equipment, mechanical components, and pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding equipment. This role performs preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment. Additionally, the candidate will perform other tasks as requested.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to internal customers and facility alarms and emergencies.
- Troubleshoot problems that arise within the sortation system and facility.
- Perform preventative maintenance and respond to facility needs.
Requirements
- Industry-recognized qualifications in engineering are preferred.
- Electrical experience is preferred.
- Preferred programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams.
- Clean UK driving license.
