CRC Evans is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring that all procurement activities are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, pricing, and suppliers in the pipe welding and coating industry across the EMEAA regions.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Procurement Strategy Development: Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and operational needs in the EMEAA regions.
- Contract Management: Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers, focusing on terms that align with the company's objectives, such as price, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Cost Control and Budgeting: Work closely with finance and operations teams to manage procurement budgets and ensure expenditures align with forecasts.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as operations, engineering, finance, and legal, to align procurement activities with broader company goals.
- Compliance and Ethical Procurement: Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to ethical standards and company policies, including anti-corruption and fair competition practices.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum of 5 GCSE (including Mathematics and English Language). Engineering / Electrical qualifications an advantage but not essential.
- Professional Certifications: CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), PMP (Project Management Professional) or MSC in Supply Chain & logistics
- Work Experience: Minimum 3 years proven experience in supply chain or logistics roles, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Skills and Knowledge: Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision. Proactive problem solver with the ability to work independently. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
