Chef Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at the WSH Group. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Food Preparation: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef, ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  2. Station Management: Oversee the production of all dishes assigned to your station and maintain your designated area with supplies and ensure cleanliness in line with policies and procedures.
  3. Quality Control: Maintain high quality standards for all dishes, ensuring presentation and taste is considered at all times.
  4. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with all other team members and assist/support all colleagues where necessary.
  5. Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef to develop and taste new recipes, providing suggestions for improvement or innovation.
  6. Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen including your designated area ensuring equipment is in good working order.
  7. Stock Management: Assist with weekly stock take.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Salary: £26,930 per annum.
