Main Duties

  • Plan and deliver a range of enjoyable and educational activities for a group of children, covering all aspects of their individual development.
  • Build strong attachments with children and their families, and work closely with the nursery manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development, learning, and activities, and contribute to the development of the nursery's policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, and assist with the preparation and serving of food.

Person Specification

  • Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GCSE pass level or equivalent standard.

  • Able to provide relevant activity ideas and demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to working with children and learning practically within the nursery.
