Job Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Visa Sponsorship: No visa sponsorship available

Working Pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Full-time Equivalent Salary: Between £30,825 and £33,945

Pay Scale: Scale G, Point 21-25

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning in a school setting, working with children and their families to overcome barriers to learning
  • Contribute to raising standards of achievement and care for all children
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies
  • Support the development and delivery of the curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with the school team to achieve shared goals
Requirements
  • NVQ 4 or willingness to study to attain HLTA status within 12 months
  • Experience of supporting children and their families in overcoming barriers to learning
  • Commitment to raising standards of achievement and care for all children
  • High expectations of behaviour and effective behaviour management strategies
  • Good understanding of teaching English as an additional language
  • Ability to reflect on and develop own practice and that of others
  • Willingness to play a key role in the development and delivery of the curriculum
