Job Description

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Specialist to join our team at a Primary School in Springfield. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teachers with the day-to-day running of the classroom, while also working one-to-one with SEN children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote Inclusion and Acceptance: Foster a nurturing environment that encourages all children to feel valued and respected.
  • Support Children Consistently: Respond to individual needs and provide consistent support to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with class teachers to plan, evaluate, and adjust lessons to meet the needs of all students.
  • Deliver Catch-up Sessions: Provide targeted support to students who require additional help to catch up with their peers.
  • Ensure Task Completion: Work with the child to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard.
Requirements:
  • Recent Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience supporting children in an education, social care, or community role.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Display excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on children's lives.
  • Ability to Work Under Guidance: Ability to work under the guidance of the teacher and follow established protocols.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in all aspects of the role.
  • Suitable References: Provide two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 2/Level 3 Qualification: A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Education or Social Care is highly desirable.
