About this role

This is an individual contributor position in the Research Architecture and Methodologies team within Gartner's Content Research Excellence organization. The focus is on implementing and managing complex, cross-business-unit content strategy programs that enable Gartner Research & Advisory (R&A) to deliver high-quality, objective insights to clients and support business growth, client engagement, and retention.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define, deliver, and manage Research Architecture and Methodology programs globally in alignment with Research and Gartner business objectives.
  • Lead and manage business system and process development for multiple, concurrent, complex programs and initiatives.
  • Work with R&A, Product, and IT teams to develop content and business requirements that evolve our research methodologies to support R&A-led strategic programs.
  • Support execution of methodologies and content architecture by leveraging best practices in process design, execution, and management.
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of Gartner products, select research methodologies, and evolving client needs.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to achieve results, including creating detailed plans and supporting documentation, designing and developing communication and training plans, and identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Methodologies programs demonstrate value and return on investment, increase clients' engagement with Research content, enhance the client experience, and improve the effectiveness of Gartner associates.
  • Portfolio of projects is well managed, reported, and communicated through their lifecycle and delivered to defined purpose and expected deadlines to grow and scale the business.
  • Requirements with a keen focus on client and business needs are surfaced, documented, validated, and implemented.
  • Excellent reporting, training, and stakeholder communications to ensure projects are continuously delivering on purpose and business impact.

What you will bring to the table:

  • Solid understanding of the technology industry, major segments, trends, and technologies, and common vendors, products, and solutions used.
  • Experience independently managing content programs, projects, and processes that demonstrate positive business impact.
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and improving business processes with rigor and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively to a broad spectrum of roles and backgrounds across all levels of seniority.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills to effectively manage a diverse workload, multiple non-routine complex projects, and deliverables and priorities to meet ambitious deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen, able to see the big picture and make principled tradeoffs to optimize outcomes.
  • Fluency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and ability to communicate quantitative insights succinctly.
  • Executive presence for interacting and presenting to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Potential travel to select Gartner events. Overall travel less than 5%.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Demonstrated track record managing content and/or product strategy programs.
  • Experience working in a complex and fast-paced global workforce preferably in Research, Consulting, or Media industries.
  • Demonstrated track record for leading change management initiatives.
  • Design thinking, customer/user experience, and/or market research skills.
  • An understanding of a variety of research methods and their application.
  • Experience leveraging data and metrics to understand customers, content, and/or product performance.
  • Proven project management skills in agile environments.
