About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in Wolverhampton. As a skilled engineer, you will contribute your expertise to military and civil actuation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical specifications and solutions for intricate actuation systems, involving requirements capture, architecture development, trade studies, requirements validation, design performance analysis, modeling, verification, and integration.
  • Utilize computer modelling and simulation for actuation systems, encompassing hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Support product design and development through static and dynamic analysis, including sizing, sensitivity, and robustness analysis, as well as control law development.
  • Conduct trade-off analysis to identify optimized solutions.
  • Produce project deliverables, such as Performance Analysis reports, Requirements Management Plans, System Description Documents, Verification Summaries, and Compliance Reports.
  • Identify and address technical risks and implement risk mitigation throughout the program's lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Experience/knowledge of physics-based modeling and simulation in the Matlab environment or similar software.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience in system development through analyses including sizing, sensitivity, and robustness analysis.
  • Experience in producing project deliverables.
  • Degree qualification in Engineering Science.
  • Demonstrated experience in analytical methods, problem-solving, Systems Thinking, System Lifecycles, System Modeling and Analysis, Requirements Definition, and System Architecting.
