About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Probation Partnership Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of the London Probation contract by ensuring compliance with KPIs, reporting on progress, and maintaining clear lines of communication with relevant agencies.

As the successful candidate, you will also lead and inspire the Traveller Project team, provide effective supervision, training, and support. Additionally, you will raise awareness of GRT community issues through media engagement, publications, and social media, and develop and implement policy procedures supporting equality and promoting positive perceptions.

The salary for this position is £35,600 per annum, with a 6-month fixed term contract (potential for extension). You will work 35 hours per week, with a hybrid working arrangement that includes 2 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Stakeholder Collaboration: Ensure effective implementation of HMPPS contract objectives, identifying GRT community members in London and assisting with community service orders, licences, and recalls.
  2. Project and Team Management: Lead and inspire the Traveller Project team, providing effective supervision, training, and support.
  3. Contract Fulfilment: Oversee successful delivery of the London Probation contract by ensuring compliance with KPIs, reporting on progress, and maintaining clear lines of communication.
  4. Community Advocacy and Policy Support: Raise awareness of GRT community issues through media engagement, publications, and social media. Develop and implement policy procedures supporting equality and promoting positive perceptions.
  5. Reporting and Evaluation: Maintain detailed project records, track KPIs, and submit monthly performance reports to senior management. Support grant applications for sustainable funding.
Requirements
  • Criminal Justice Experience: Hands-on experience with prison, probation services, or social work, ideally working with marginalised communities.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to take initiative, lead a team, and manage projects independently.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competent in MS Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
