Quantity Surveyor Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major infrastructure highways project. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the financial and contractual management of the project, overseeing costs, budgets, and contract administration to ensure financial targets are met and the project stays on track.

About the Position:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to work on a high-profile project. You will be responsible for managing and forecasting project costs, budgets, and financial performance, administering NEC contracts, and conducting regular site visits to oversee cost control and monitor progress. You will also collaborate closely with the project team and client to ensure smooth delivery, prepare and negotiate final accounts, and resolve any financial disputes. Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and forecast project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
  • Administer NEC contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee cost control and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team and client to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Prepare and negotiate final accounts and resolve any financial disputes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors as needed.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale highways or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with NEC contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate cost reporting.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
