Ambitek Limited is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in the Bogie Division, Doncaster. This is an hourly paid role that involves working shifts, rotating weekly. The position is responsible for inspecting rail bogies prior to, during and following the overhaul process undertaken by our production teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough inspections of bogies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Report and document inspection results, including any quality issues or defects.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve inspection and testing methods.
- Prepare and submit quality control reports and documentation.
- Participate in internal audits and first article inspections.
- Ability to interpret and understand manufacturing documents, such as engineering drawings.
- Experience working in a production or engineering environment.
- Strong product knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in IT and systems.
- Rail industry knowledge and experience.
- Minimum two years' experience in a quality assurance role.
- Apprentice-trained or NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical discipline.
