As our oncology services expand, Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking skilled oncology nurses to join our team of bank nurses within our dedicated oncology and haematology unit, which features 17 beds specifically designed for patient care.

You will collaborate with a dedicated team of 12 nurses, 1 healthcare assistant, and various consultants, ensuring a high level of support from your colleagues.

We prioritize a healthy work/life balance, allowing you to enjoy no night shifts or weekend work, with very few bank holidays required.

Established in 1989, Spire Leicester is recognized for its excellence in patient care, utilizing advanced treatments alongside the latest imaging and diagnostic technologies. Our services encompass everything from screening and rehabilitation to innovative surgical procedures in specialized areas such as orthopaedics and cancer treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

Your role will involve the safe administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy, specialized nursing care for central lines, assisting in oncology clinics, and providing guidance and support to oncology and haematology patients and their families. The primary focus will be on the daycare oncology unit and outpatient services, with occasional support for patients admitted to the ward.

  • Proven experience in oncology nursing
  • NMC Registered Nurse with no restrictions
  • A positive mindset and ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Trained in cannulation and venepuncture
  • SACT administration training is essential
