About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Academic Coordinator at HideOut Youth Zone.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering a comprehensive programme of activities that promotes inclusivity, community cohesion, and provides a safe environment for young people from diverse backgrounds.

The role involves targeted outreach and partnership work across the region to promote HideOut Youth Zone and identify barriers to participation. You will lead a team of sessional workers to ensure members with additional needs and disabilities continue to access the club throughout the week.

This is a full-time position located at HideOut Youth Zone, requiring 40 hours per week (including evenings and weekends). The estimated salary for this role is £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • To design and deliver a programme of activities that supports community cohesion and promotes inclusivity for young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • To carry out targeted outreach and partnership work across the region to promote HideOut Youth Zone and gain an understanding of barriers to participation.
  • To lead a team of sessional workers to ensure members with additional needs and disabilities continue to access the club throughout the week.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who can demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting inclusivity and supporting young people from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
