Care Manager - Residential Services

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Care Manager to join our team at Holistic Support Services. This is a full-time position based in Southport, offering competitive rates of pay and benefits.

About the Role

As a Care Manager, you will be responsible for leading by example, delegating duties fairly amongst staff, training new members of staff, and participating in on-call rota. You will also ensure daily reports, health and safety checks, and care plans are completed and up-to-date. Your primary focus will be on supporting children or young people's needs, working in partnership with the Deputy Manager, and assisting with supervisions and appraisals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking point on shift and setting a positive tone for the team.
  • Delegating tasks effectively to ensure smooth operation of residential services.
  • Developing new staff members through comprehensive training.
  • Participating in out-of-hours calls and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting systems.
  • Collaborating with the Deputy Manager to achieve service goals.
  • Supporting staff development through regular supervisions and appraisals.
Requirements

To succeed as a Care Manager, you will need:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential or equivalent.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A driving license (advantageous but not essential).
